CAMP PERSONNEL

... make this summer camp quite unique! Becky Peters and Mike Orenshaw are all experienced Social Studies teachers with the West Chester Area School District at the Fugett Middle School who love sharing their passion and knowledge with children and their families. All have conducted educational field trips for 7th and 8th graders to Philadelphia, Washington DC, Baltimore, Annapolis, Gettysburg and Boston. In addition, Becky and Mike were recently Assistant Camp Directors for the YMCA Summer program at Church Farm School. In addition, they have a team of college-age counselors including a nursing student who will accompany the children to ALL activities

WHY "AMAZING RACE"?

Our camp is designed to be an interactive experience, allowing students to explore and learn while they travel. Each week will begin with campers meeting the counselors and each other, forming teams, completing team building activities, and taking part in initial challenges in categories such as art, sports, music, orienteering, history and much more! The challenges involve lots of FUN for all ages and don't involve strenuous physical activities. On travel days (Tuesday through Thursday), campers will explore exciting destinations, completing a unique challenge or two each day. Teams will continue to rack up points throughout the week, culminating on a Friday afternoon "race finale" on the campus of Fugett Middle School.
