Explore the Joy of Movement through Nia
Nia (pronounced Nee-uh) is a body-mind fitness program that gently draws from the dance arts, the martial arts, and the healing arts. The practice of Nia honors the profound effects of music while allowing students to personalize their movements for their own pleasure and comfort. In less than 60 minutes, all students have the opportunity to work on their cardio, strength, flexibility, alignment and balance. Although Nia has been practiced for over 30 years, and is shared in over 40 countries worldwide, the benefits that each student receives are uniquely their own. Please note that classes are typically taken barefoot (shoes are optional). Bring a yoga mat, water bottle and towel.
