Follow the development inland from Pottsgrove to the Schuylkill with a focus on the area around present-day West Chester. What type of structures did these settlers build? Learn about their meeting houses, mills, early roads, taverns, and iron works. Also, learn about the people who built them. What happened to the Lenape? What was the Turks Head? Did the French & Indian War impact Chester County? Did you know Abraham Lincoln had Chester County roots? The course concludes with the Revolution coming to Chester County.
