Greystone Hall: House and Landscadpe Garden Tour
In the tradition of the Biltmore Estate, the DuPont Mansions and the grand mansions of Newport Country, R.I. Greystone Hall and its landscape gardens stands today as a living monument to the era of great American mansion building from the Gilded Age to the 1920's. Come enjoy this special guided tour of the first floor rooms and the landscape gardens, focusing on the integrated relationship of the house and its surrounding grounds. Designed by Philadelphia architect Charles Barton Keen and built for P.M. Sharples, the English Renaissance style house has been owned by the Jerrehian family since 1942. The mansion and its grounds are private property and not otherwise open to the public. This is a rain or shine event. Light refreshments will be served.
