Chester County Night School

Annapolis MD - Trolley and Boat Tours

Annapolis City is an exciting place to explore. Enjoy the charm and uniqueness of a colonial seaport town set against the modern Annapolis that is the state capital and county seat. Stroll the tree-lined cobblestone streets and the bustling City Dock. It has earned the title, America's Sailing Capital, so you don't want to miss a visit to Ego Alley to view the beautiful boats. Discover its quaint shops and art galleries. Feast at a great seafood restaurant where Maryland blue crab is king, down grub at a pub, or dine at an historic tavern. Unique local institutions like the US Naval Academy and St. Johns College add to the atmosphere of the town on the Severn River known in colonial times as "The Athens of America" and more recently as "Camelot on the Chesapeake." Considered one of the most scenic towns in the Mid-Atlantic region, it is nothing if not historic. Jefferson, Franklin, and Washington wandered the brick streets, frequenting many of the still-standing taverns and buildings. Free time upon arrival at the visitor center for lunch, shopping, or attractions on your own. For the more adventurous there is a Mission Escape Room located on the same block. Step on board a climate controlled trolley at the visitor center for a 60 minute ride through the streets of Annapolis. The narrated tour will provide a fun overview of major points of interest. It ends at City Dock where we will board a climate-controlled boat for a narrated Chesapeake Bay Bridge Cruise (90 minutes). Enjoy the views as we travel through Annapolis Harbor, then catch a breeze as we head into the bay. Marvel at the engineering feat of one of the longest over-water structures in the world as we glide under the twin spans of the Bay Bridge that connect the eastern and western shores of Maryland. End your day with additional free time for dinner or more adventure before departure from City Dock at 6pm. Cost includes trolley tour, cruise, driver gratuity, and climate-controlled restroom-equipped motorcoach transportation. Non-stop both ways. If making pre-paid reservations for attractions OYO (on your own), please check a few days after registration deadline to verify trip will run.
