Mitch Lyons Legacy: The Art of Printing with Clay-NEW!
Ready to experience something completely different? Learn this unique printmaking process developed by Mitch Lyons. Working from a slab of clay, layers of colored clay slips, pastels, textures and imagery will be added. Even if you’ve never worked with clay or know nothing about printmaking, you’ll be excited to learn how to pull clay monoprints of your very own. This course will include an introduction to Mitch Lyons, the artist, and his work, including a PowerPoint of how he developed the process, full demonstration of the clayprinting process, the making of your own clay slab boards and getting started, weekly demos of different techniques, and plenty of time to work on your clay monoprints. Perfect for all levels. Starting Sept. 7 through Feb. 2020 visit the Delaware Art Museum for the exhibition, Mitch Lyons: The Hand Translated.

Optional if you have it: empty cottage cheese/yogurt/margerine containers 16 oz. paint brushes, stencils, texturing tools, apron, rag, first class only: staple gun.|
