This 3 hour + course consists of 1 hour of classroom instruction where the equipment, safety and fundamentals of archery are explained with plenty of "hands on" understanding of arrows, different bow types and the science behind arrow flight. Students will then head to the outdoor range for the FIRST SHOOTING SESSION and shoot with careful guidance and supervision to establish good form and positive results for a 2 hour period. The level of instruction is advanced so all questions are welcome. The student will depart with a solid skill set to pursue further archery activities if desired - and most of all, will have a fun experience with an experienced instructor. The classroom portion will always begin at the West Chester Gun Club. In the event of unfavorable weather, the shooting portion of the course will be moved from the outdoor range at the gun club to an indoor barn range in Exton approximately 1 mile away. In addition, all students will have the option to participate in a 2nd SHOOTING SESSION AT NO CHARGE to be coordinated with the instructor. All students should register with a valid email address. All equipment is provided for both shooting sessions. Traditional bows are used. Recommended Age: 16 and older
