Create beautiful paintings using the talent you always knew you had. This course is designed for beginners who want to learn basic techniques and beyond in one of the most versatile painting mediums. We will cover color theory and the secrets of color mixing. Learn to choose and care for the perfect brushes. We will explore different papers, canvases, and other surfaces. Classes will start with step-by-step painting instructions where students will paint along with the instructor. By the final weeks, students will choose their subject matter and work individually under the close supervision of the instructor. Former students are welcome as group paintings are always different from paintings done in previous semesters. Audience: For the true beginner or novice artist who wants to learn to paint with acrylic paint. No experience is necessary, but some drawing ability is required.
