Explore the fun and entertaining world of backyard bird feeding in winter. You will learn not only about identifying backyard birds, but also about habitat and feeding preferences of the birds that will come to your backyard feeders. Equipment used for observation feeders, types of bird appropriate food, preventing window collisions and thwarting squirrels and other hungry critters will be discussed.
There will be a 9 AM Saturday morning field trip to a local birding hotspot to see migrants that might come to your backyard.
